A big well done to our own Lauren Horsford, not only did she shoot 7 under par gross , yes 7 under par gross for 36 holes around Walton Heath, she then went on to win the "Surrey Scratch Knockout Championships" FANTASTIC!! Well done Lauren, we are all very proud of you.
It is wonderful to see you all back after a long cold & wet winter. We are now at last getting some warmth in the ground and the golf course is taking shape nicely.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Time for a cliché…
Well, that's Augusta done for another year and whilst the famous back nine didn't produce the type of drama it has done in years gone by, that was because 21-year-old Jordan Spieth refused to play any part in making it tense. What a display it was.
There was much to admire about his game, but at the risk of boring you with a cliché, 'It's all about the short game'! Yes, he was long and accurate off the tee and his putting was fantastic. However, the shots slip away very quickly at somewhere like Augusta and it wasn't just Spieth who scrambled well when he had to; that final leaderboard was ultimately a list of golfers who, during the week, had that unerring ability to get the ball up and down time and time again.
We can't promise you a Green Jacket but spend some time with us to work on your short game and you won't half notice the difference in your scoring. You know where to find us...or click here to book your lesson.
